About BITSMUN Hyderabad

Having had eleven very successful editions, we are raring to organise BITSMUN Hyderabad ’23, which promises to be bigger and better than all previous editions. Past editions of BITSMUN Hyderabad saw participation not only from different parts of India but also from across the border, with delegates coming in from the USA, Canada, Singapore, Qatar, Kuwait, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan, making the conference diverse and truly international.

3rd, 4th and 5th November

What is Model UN?

Model United Nations or MUN is a simulation of the United Nations, where the youth can learn about diplomacy, international relations and the United Nations, while looking for solutions to the world's problems. Different organs of the United Nations are simulated as committees, and BITSMUN extends to include major political bodies such as the Lok Sabha, European Parliament, and the African Union as committees.

Model UN can help you solve real-world issues, learn about international relations, inculcate the capacity to speak publicly while interacting as a diplomat and be a major boost on a university application.

This year’s conference is to be held during BITS Hyderabad's Annual Techno-Management Festival ATMOS from 3rd to 5th of November 2023 with an estimated participation of over 350 delegates spread across 8 committees.

The acronym ATMOS - Assimilation of Technically Motivated Souls -is a true representation of what we are. The national techno-management fest of BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus has grown from pillar to pillar in strength since its inception in 2012. Atmos includes many technical competitions designed to test the participant's level of knowledge in their respective fields, workshops where students may learn skills needed to survive and excel in today's competitive industrial environment, and talks by industry experts designed to introduce students to the latest trends in science and technology.
